Start-ups

Aerzen blower and compressor start-ups are performed by factory trained and authorized technicians. Our standard checklist is followed closely and compared to calculated performance data to ensure expected trouble-free operation.

A startup begins with the general inspection of the unit and downstream components. Due to our expertise, and having witnessed several installations, we can often offer suggestions beyond our scope of supply.

Following the general inspection, we proceed with un-coupled verifications of the motor.

With belts or coupling installed, we then proceed with complete readings of the unit(s). This includes vibration, pressure, vacuum, temperature, amperage, oil regulation, relief valve adjustment, etc.

Training is then provided to the operators and personnel involved with maintenance and monitoring. This involves a full explanation of unit functionality, service requirements and a Q&A session. Operators are often offered training through the testing phase, to even better understand what they may need to monitor more or less closely.

Reports always follow, with all readings clearly indicated. These readings are kept in our database, tied with the serial number of the unit, for future reference. Suggestions follow in the report, including possible issues with piping design, machinery room modifications or possible changes to outdoor louvers to reduce noise to a minimum.
